Authentic Handcrafted Timber Frame Factory Components
To give you optimum stability with minimum checking and twisting, Tamlin provides premier quality douglas fir timbers that are 90% free of box heart. Each timber is hand selected and chosen for its rich, fine grain appearance, durable strength, stability, and natural characteristics. A coat of end sealer is applied at the factory to keep the drying process at a gradual rate which also helps minimize any potential checking or twisting. All components are handcrafted using mortise and tenon joinery and solid oak pegs. Timbers are hand sanded and test-fitted at the factory, then numbered and labeled for easy assembly on site. Should you prefer, kiln dried timbers can also be provided upon request.
Hybrid Timber Frame Design
While there is no standard amount of timber frame designed into a hybrid house, Tamlin can help you decide the best use of components to enhance the function and appearance of your home, based on your ideas and budget. To further assist in visualizing your home before it is actually built, we offer “3D" perspectives of all the timber frame components right at the design stage. Our CAD design system provides the latest in accurate floor plans, elevations, and section drawings. For those who prefer color “3D" renderings of the entire house, we also offer Archi-CAD design to illustrate your home in a photo-realistic setting.

Let us custom design your timber frame trusses or bents from the numerous styles available ― for example, design with curved braces, full timber bents, or custom sized posts 10", 12", 14", 16" , 18" , 20" or larger.
Panelized Hybrid Timber Frame
Providing the best timber frame house package means offering the fastest on site assembly system. Tamlin’s optional panelized exterior frame walls allow for fast installation and or saves on expensive labour. We can also supply premade structural insulated panels ―SIPs― for roof and wall systems.
