Tamlin’s unique house package allows clients to customize and build their homes using our design, materials, and construction support systems.

Design

We begin by helping clients to draw up or modify their plans to fit their lifestyle needs. We try to balance the criteria of appearance, function, and cost in any style of building, whether it’s log, timber frame, hybrid, or custom frame.

Our building kit includes permit drawings, site plans (as required) and fully engineered construction drawings as part of the house package. We provide the most detailed drawings and customized bill of materials listing every component in the house and where it is to be used.

Materials

We help clients choose and refine all "parts" and "pieces" of the house using our unique materials specifications installation knowledge, and labour saving suggestions.

At Tamlin, we do not believe in sacrificing the quality of the end product by using materials that just barely meet code requirements. We use and recommend higher quality building products, because they pay off in the long run. We also consider ease of installation and low maintenance since we know that the final cost depends on both materials and labour costs.

All our materials are specified to fit the plan. This keeps you well organized and able to build quickly without typical problems, such as carpenters not able to work because they are waiting for materials. Your house package materials are shipped directly to the site at one time, or in scheduled shipments, to allow for smooth construction.

Construction Support

At Tamlin, the details make the difference. Our itemized packing lists confirm exactly what is shipped. Blueprints are laminated so a little rain on your plans won’t matter. Shipping schedules are customized and all packages and crates are labeled so you can unload the materials you need first.

Tamlin offers extensive building expertise at any time during the assembly process. We can help you through every stage of construction and, depending on your needs, provide a customized level of project management support.

Using our network of contacts, we can help with permit procedures, permit plans, site surveys, on site visits, scheduling, construction subtrade help, general project consultations, builders, and more. Our one-stop house package system will get you from permit phase to lock up stage smoothly and efficiently.
